Stay At Home Order in effect for Marin County

A Stay at Home Order is in place for Marin County until further notice. The new order, which takes effect May 17th, 2020 at 11:59 PM, will ease some additional restrictions while practices to strengthen containment of COVID-19 are put into place.

All construction activities, certain businesses that operate primarily outdoors, and some outdoor activities continue to be allowed with the new Order. In addition, the new Order allows for curbside pickup for retail stores and retail supply chain businesses to open.

To help you understand the restrictions of the order, the County has provided the following resources:

    • Information about all current Public Health orders, including business reopening information, is available on the Marin Health and Human Services website
    • Please visit MarinRecovers.org to view information and updates about the Marin County's reopening plan
    • Beginning April 22, 2020, face coverings are required when you completing essential activities and  when interacting with others who are not members of your household in public and private spaces. See news releaseorder, and face coverings fact sheet.

Weekly Chat - Live Via Zoom, Tuesdays at 11am

Even though we aren’t able to meet in person right now, we’re not going to let that keep us from connecting with our community, answering questions and seeking feedback. Please join Mayor Eli Beckman and Town Manager Todd Cusimano for our weekly virtual Community Chat. The Chat will take place on Tuesdays from 11am-12pm through videoconference, using Zoom webinar. You can join the Chat beginning at 11am using this link: https://tinyurl.com/y7chqd8d (webinar ID: 910-7929-1529). Mayor Beckman, Town Manager Cusimano, as well as other Town staff, will be available to talk with residents and hear your suggestions, comments, and feedback about our Town, and answer any questions about the current COVID-19 situation or the County’s Public Health Orders. We encourage our community members to drop in and ask the Mayor or Town Manager any questions you may have about Town finances, projects, capital improvements, or anything else that may be on your mind! If you are unable to attend these weekly Check-ins will continue to be held, on Tuesdays from 11am-12pm, throughout the duration of the Shelter in Place order. Questions can also be sent in advance to publiccomment@tcmmail.org.

***Please note that, while the Mayor cannot take action on any items outside of a regularly scheduled Town Council meeting, your thoughts and concerns will be shared with the Town Council and Town staff as appropriate for any requested follow through.
