Davis Streetlight Color Temperature Issue
About 7 years ago, Davis proceeded with a streetlight retrofit project and began to replace fixtures using 4000 degree Kelvin correlated color temperature without effectively engaging the community. The Town of Corte Madera has studied this past project and understands the importance of color temperature and will be using 3000 degree Kelvin LEDs for all retrofit lights in this project. Additional Lighting Along Sir Francis Drake Blvd
Another project studied was the recent lighting improvements along Sir Francis Drake Blvd in Greenbrae and Kentfield. In this area, additional lighting was added where previous street lighting did not exist, which was a cause of concern to nearby residents. The Town does not plan to add lighting, only replacing existing street lights with LED fixtures. Read more about this specific case study here.
