Design Review Zoning Ordinance Amendments
Staff has begun the process of reviewing the Town of Corte Madera's Design Review regulations, with the goal of making certain regulations clearer and more user friendly. Design Review is the discretionary activity that governs the aesthetics and function of development in the Town of Corte Madera. The Design Review process administered by staff and the Planning Commission helps to ensure that new development or significant alterations meet the development standards established by the Town code such as building size, height and location as well as overseeing that development is done in a way that is consistent with the community’s desires as expressed in the General Plan. Town staff would like to invite the community to participate in future workshops and meetings to review and discuss current Design Review policies, and provide input on how the Town can clarify existing regulations and consider possible changes to the structure and organization of the Design Review section of the Town’s Municipal Code. Information on upcoming and previous meetings, staff reports, and meeting video can be found below.
