Mission
The Flood Control Board was established in response to major flooding events that occurred in 1982 and 1998, and provides a forum for public input on flood control issues facing the Town. The Board is made up of seven members from the public who are appointed by the Town Council to serve a 2-year term. The Flood Board coordinates with the Public Works Department by:
- Meeting to discuss flood control measures and services provide by the town.
- Providing a public forum for comment and discussion about flood control issues.
- Recommending key flood control projects for inclusion in the annual budget.
