While the terms of appointees to the Disaster Council do not have expiration dates, applications from those interested in serving on the Disaster Council can be accepted on an ongoing basis in accordance with Section 2.32.030 of the Corte Madera Municipal Code (Disaster Council Membership). Responsibilities
The Disaster Council, established by Ordinance 862, reviews and recommends for adoption by the Town Council, the Town of Corte Madera Emergency Operations Plan, disaster related mutual aid plans and agreements, and such ordinances, resolutions, and rules and regulations as are necessary to implement such plans and agreements. It is also the duty of the Disaster Council to assist Town Staff in preparing the community to take action before, during and after a disaster.
