VIRTUAL & IN-PERSON RECREATION CLASSES
The Corte Madera Parks and Recreation Department understands how difficult the isolation of sheltering in place has been for everyone. To help our community, we have worked diligently to find quality, highly engaging instructors to offer a variety of wonderful educational experiences. YOUTH IN-PERSON PROGRAMS & CLASSES
School Day Camp (full day)
Join Recreation staff for support with remote learning during school hours followed by 3 hours of technology-free fun to help participants unwind and socialize safely. (This program is an alternative for families who will not be returning back to school in person.)
Join Recreation Staff for interactive fun to unwind from school with afternoon activities including games, sports, art activities, and engineering! (This program is an alternative for families who will only need afterschool care.)
Session of 10/12-10/30 (LCMSD Green Status: 5 days in person)
Join Recreation Staff for interactive fun to unwind from school with morning and afternoon activities including games, sports, art activities, and engineering! (AM Care for students attending school in person during the afternoon portion of the day.)
Learn skateboarding fundamentals at Corte Madera Town Park. Jeremy Boucher is an experienced boarder and instructor ready to coach participants on correct stance, pushing, how to drop in on a ramp, kick turn, and Ollie, as well as skate park etiquette. Bring your own equipment.
Learn about materials, technique, color theory, color mixing, color schemes, the importance of values, how to control watercolor washes on wet and dry paper, as well as the elements of design and composition. Instructor, Michael Friedland is an accomplished artist and teacher through the California Watercolor Association and the artists in residency program in Yosemite.
