Town Bark (Dog Park)

Welcome to Corte Madera Town Bark!

The Town of Corte Madera opened the Town's first dog park on the east side of Corte Madera Town Park on June 29, 2020. The dog park includes a 15,000 square foot fenced in grass area, a dog wash station, drinking fountains for humans and dogs, a trash can, a doggy bag stand and three benches.

This project originated from many requests to the Town Council over the years to install a dog park in Corte Madera.

Thank You for Your Opinion on Mulch or No Mulch this Winter.

The Town collected feedback to determine if users would prefer to close the dog park during the 2021-22 winter or apply mulch to minimize mud and standing water. 91% of respondents supported mulch use.

The Parks & Recreation Commission reviewed feedback at their meeting on 10/25/21, and supported staff's recommendation to apply mulch throughout the enclosed dog park.  Staff will do their best to provide advanced notice and keep the (engineered 3/4in.) mulch within the fencing. A reminder to the community that this is a short-term winter operational plan and a long-term plan will be discussed as part of the Master Plan development process this winter.
