The project upgraded the oldest unimproved sanitary sewer pump station in the District. Renovations were designed to reduce Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) risk, reduce staff maintenance and overtime hours, and improve worker safety. Renovations included:
- Construction of a new buried influent sewer pipe and new buried pump station discharge force main
- Upgrades to the submersible pumps to meet current pumping demands
- Upgrades and modernization of pump controls and Central Marin Sanitation Agency (CMSA) monitoring capability
- Installation of a new Diesel Standby Generator
- Construction of a pump wet well protective coating to enhance maintenance.
