2020 Sewer Rehabilitation Project

This sanitary sewer project is designed to improve efficiency and operational integrity of the sewer collection system, reduce inflow & infiltration (I&I), reduce Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) risk and reduce the need for staff maintenance. Schaad and Wheeler is approximately 95% complete with the design work. The project area consists of vitrified clay pipe (VCP) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes. In general, the pipes are in good condition with a few locations of offset joints and damaged pipe.

The project will replace 2,900 linear feet of sewer main, 3 spot repairs and a rehabilitation of 33 manholes.

The total number of laterals triggered by the project is 164. The total number of lower laterals that will be replaced with this project is 156 and approximately 4,248 linear feet of pipe.

Status: The construction phase of this project will begin in August 2020.
