Aging in Place...With Help

With 50% of the aging community in Marin having some sort of disability and more than 30% living alone, many of us need help staying healthy. As part of the County services, Public Authority of Marin helps recruit, vet and match in-home health care providers with our aging community. Come learn about health care challenges facing older adults and some helpful resources and tips. The goal is to help seniors stay independent and healthy at home, as long as possible.

Marin County Parks Event

Senior Stroll on the Coast Trail

Marin County Parks invites you to a senior stroll. This walk is for ages 18 and up. This trail is one of the best places to see the early blooming wildflowers of the Marin Headlands. You’ll follow an even, well-maintained dirt road along a sheltered, north facing slope where a number of "coastal specialties" should be flowering. This is an out and back walk with a gradual downhill slope on the way out and a gradual uphill slope on the way back. Remember to bring binoculars, if you have them.

Rain may cancel. If questionable weather, call (415) 893-9527 after 8AM on the morning of the event to hear a recorded message. No registration is required. If you have questions, please contact Shannon Burke at SBurke@marincounty.org or (415) 893-9520.

The event will be held on Tuesday, March 19th from 10AM to 11:30AM at the Coast Trail trailhead in the Marin Headlands at the junction of McCullough and Conzelman Rd. From Hwy 101, take the exit for Alexander Ave. Turn left at stop, then right up the hill on Conzelman Rd 1.1 miles to the intersection with McCullough Rd. Parking lot is on the west side of the roundabout.
